The Bend deformer is quite contra-intuitive in some (most) situations.
I would like to have more control over it.
E.g:
1
An orientation popup (+x / -x / +y / -y /+z / -z). Right now, we often have to rotate it to achieve the desired result.
2
A symmetrical mode, where it bends on two sides of the axis
3
A definable origin/anchor point (now this is the heart of the initial box. I would like it to be on the bottom of the box in most cases)
4
'Keep Radius': a definable constant radius (the radius now varies during the bend)
All requests and remarks posted on this blog, have been shared with the developers of the concerning products. The Feature Requests blog is my independent way of sharing, and recording both ideas and annoyance about software. Improvement is the main goal.

AE: Keep assets selected after search
Finding a specific asset in a large Project can easily be don by the search/filter field in the Project Panel. But it is still hard to locate it in its context, since AE cancels any selection made, when clearing the search field.
It would be convenient if any selection made while the filter in the Project Panel is active, keeps selected when the field is cleared.
An asset is not always inserted in a Comp, sometimes it needs to be relocated in the Project, which is hard, if AE cancels the selection after it is found.

AE: Alt-drag in Project Panel should duplicate asset
I would like AE to duplicate an asset when alt-dragged in the Project Panel.
When it's alt-dragged to a folder, it should not add any sequential number to the name.
This makes versioning much faster. E.g.: For a multi episode tv show, I use a folder with a base set of graphics that I like to copy to separate folders for each episode, depending on the content of the episode.
In the current version of AE, I need to duplicate it, move it to the folder and delete ' 2' from the name.
Alt-dragging reduces all of this 1 simple gesture.

Let C4d copy textures to current Scene's tex folder
When copying a tetured object to your scene, C4d comes with this dialog:
Wouldn't it be great if C4d offers a third option:
'Shall I copy the related textures to the tex folder of the current scene?'
Thanks,
Jan

AE: Change Comp size and scale content at once
While converting old sd-projects (vector layers) to HD, I came to this request:
Wouldn't it be great if the Composition Settings panel had an option to let AE scale all layers to the new size?
Right now, I have to make a Null, parent all layers to it, and then scale it up.

AE: Vertical distribution of Text Objects should take the baseline as reference
Steps to Reproduce Bug:
1. Make several text layers - some with leg-letters (j, g,p), some without (o,s, a)
2. Let AE distribute thes vertically
3. See how AE takes the bounding box and not the baseline as a reference
Results:
Un-esthetic, unwanted distribution of text layers
Expected Results:
AE should threat text layers with respect to the nature of text - distribution of the baselines, not the bounding box.
Example:
See how the second line in the right text block does not distributes correctly vertically:
