Clone Project Folder Hierarchy when rendering

 I have this habit where I create a folder in my Project with the name '-Output'. (the dash to keep it on top of the list)

'-Output' can have several subfolders like 'Studio', 'Montage', 'VFX', 'LowerThirds' etc.

All Comps in that folder represent a final rendered movie file.

On my disk where the renders are output, I create the exact same folder structure, so I can easily track which movie belongs to which Comps, in case of corrections or reuse.

 

My request:

I would love to have After Effects automatically create the (relative) Project hierarchy for the output files on render time.

More specific: when Comps are selected across folders, and these folders do not exist on the output disk, let Ae come up with the dialog "Shall I clone the Project Folder structure for the Selected Comps dear user? [Yes please] / [No, certainly not]"

 

After Effects should Alt drag to copy keyframes (multilayer too!)

Since ever, I would like to copy keyframes in a multilayer selection.

And once in a while I try to alt drag keyframes to duplicate 'm (since this is common gesture to make duplicates of anything in a lot of applications).

 

And now I think: maybe a combination of both is the ultimate way to make a dream come true!

There won't be any confusion of how the duplicates will be pasted, since all of those will keep their tracks.

Microsoft Outlook attachment submenu is annoying

In the current version, when attaching a document, we get an extra step, we have to choose between 'Browse this Mac / Browse Cloud Locations / Insert a Link'.

This is an unnescesary and annoying step - it makes the user experience slow and frustrating.

MacOS can Browse the Mac and Cloud Locations by default, and inserting a link works via the clipboard - not via attachment.

This submenu is just an extra step that slows down the workflow.

Please remove it, or add a preference to turn it off.

Cinema 4D: paste in hierarchy

 When pasting an object from one scene to another, it always appears at the top of the Object manager.

I would like to paste objects on chosen levels in the hierarchy.

This could work as follows: select an item in the Object manager, choose paste - the pasted object should appear just above the selected object.

C4d: Alt-G to create a Null Object

 I use Alt-G all the time to Group objects in a Null.

But sometimes I need a null on (0,0,0) rather than on the selection's position.

Wouldn't it be great when Alt-G works in that case as well - while nothing is selected it should create a Null at (0,0,0).

Layer Aliases / Layer Instances

How great would it be to have the ability to create Aliases (or Instances) of Layers?

These Layers (with the name Italized) should dynamically reflect the exact RGBA content of their original.

Would save a lot of copying, expressions etc. And would be a nice hybrid of node based and layer based compositing.

On demand update expressions/dynamics for a certain frame

A setting to only calculate the new positions as if the animation was played from 00:00.I understand that this will take a lot of time, so maybe it should be a setting to stop all calculation, and a manual request for calculation on a certain frame.

 

The recalculation of dynamics and expressions while timeline scrubbing is spectacular, but most of the time not useful.
